Cats and Rentals on St. John

My move date is the second week of September to St. John and even being five months out, I'm already nervous about not finding a place.

I am planning on bringing my cat back to the island with me when I return from Christmas with my family in December (I'll be showing up without him). But, this will ultimately influence the lease I sign in September.

How hard is it going to be to find a landlord that's going to allow cats? My good friend used to live on STJ and they had to "hide" their cat.

Also...how soon out should I book my two weeks at the Inn at Tamarind?

Just trying to be realistic and appreciate the help...
I'm a planner...
Jodi

If I had to guess, I would guess that about 50% of apartments will allow cats. No need to worry, you will find something that suits you.

Book as early as possible at the Inn. You could wait until a month before, but why wait? One less thing to worry about, right?

Thanks Marty! That makes me hopeful that it will not be a stumbling block to finding housing. Take care, Jodi
