Which cell phone carriers service St. Thomas? Are they local or the national (AT&T, etc)? How about other utilities that are used daily, such as gas, electricity, and water? Local cable company/internet? Is WAPA just for electric?

AT&T & Sprint work here(maybe more)
WAPA has us by the short & curlys, unless you go wind/solar.
The Arab supermarkets also have us in a stranglehold(but there is Cost U more/PriceSucks).

I just got back from NJ, gas was $2.39 here it's $3.29-$3.69(highest, $3.69 @ gas jerks, STT).
Our STX oil refinery (which is one of, if not the largest in the western hemisphere), sells gas wholesale, transports it to Port Reading New Jersey, where it is sold retail for the aforementioned $2.39 40 miles away from port reading!

Something is WRONG here!
So, what the hell is going on??

Yes there is SOMETHING wrong here. But our politicians will get up and say that there needs to be a study done which will in the need have no results.

This is another example of the people of the VI getting SCREWED. From food to gas to WAPA. It al stinks.

By the way go with Sprint or ATT. They are the best. Verizon has you roaming so it is not a good choice if you call back to the main land.

Telephone depends on your use. I don't use a land line and make fe calls.

I went to AT&T on STT and got a GoPhone. I pay only 25 cents per call.

It works all over the USA.

WAPA is the Water and Power Authority. They desalinate and provide potable water as well as sometimes providing electricity.

Cable company is Innovative, and they sometimes provide television programming.

Internet: Broadband VI also Innovative.

Gas is propane cannisters.
