Do virgin mobile cell phones work in St. Thomas? Who has the best service? What about hot spot for internet service? What's the best wireless internet service out there?

There are hot spots on island...Also, I found a thread on this site from just a couple of months ago confirming that Virgin Mobile works here.

Virgin Mobile works here but you're probably better off porting your number into a new AT&T account. There are many, many internet hotspots on island. Walk around using a wifi finding app on your phone and you'll find them left and right depending on where you are, for sure Big Kahuna Rum Shack has one downtown, Tavern on the Waterfront, Blackbeard's castle, American Yacht Harbor on the east end, etc. Best wireless internet depends on your usage and location. If your not downloading movies/music and mostly just using it for light browsing/email you can probably do fine with a tethering/mobile hotspot plan for your phone (assuming smartphone.) Otherwise, BroadbandVI.

I have a new virgin mobile android purchased at target. NO CONTRACT, $55.00 unlimited data, talk and text ($59.00 with tax), $15.00 more for optional hotspot service.
Im on stx and service has been very good,, I believe sprint is the provider, better service then my previous T-Mobile (at&t).
