Hi all,

you have all so forthcoming and helpful with your advice and opinions I'm going to ask for them again but this time in regard to lodging:

Would appreciate advice on everything and anything in this area.
From what areas are nicer or not so nice.
What's important in the long run? view? beach? up / down the hill? which sides of the island? in town? out of town? or whatever else.
Renting VS owning and the best way to go about it and possibly even average prices if there is such a thing. I've looked on MLS but that is asking, here in our town our local paper posts all houses sold every week and $ sold for. Does such a thing exist there?

Thanks again for any input
🙂

If on STT, you're not going to find much right on the beach. Almost everyone has a glorious view living on hillsides. I have lived on the beach & much prefer living where I can see water rather than being right on it. Less buggy and less salt air damage. Don't buy immediately. Wait a year at least. Where to live can depend on where you work.

Cheesy: Everyone has a different set of needs! That is why it is good to rent somewhere, see what you want. I love where I live, but when I go over on the north side, I envy the vegetation. But then I don't have to deal with green shoes! I like my sunsets, but the northsiders like waking up at ungodly hours with the sun in their faces. Close to work, close to a grocery, close to ... It is all a matter of individual preference. 😀

Eastender, post helps.
We were not even aware of what side is cactus and what side is green (what does green shoes mean?) Or sunrise or sunset.

green shoes=leather items get moldy

I live on the northside and furniture, footwear (flip flops), belts, purses, etc. last longer here if they are leather-free.

The purse and shoes that I brought down with me a little over a year ago are now Chia Pets in the back of the closet.

I live on the Northside. 😉
