I am considering taking a job that would have me move to St Thomas this fall. Before making the move, I would like to know what issues or future problems I might incur regarding my US citizenship? As a US citizen, moving to the St Thomas is no problem as it is a US territory- however, if the job does not work out and I find myself having to move back to the mainland in a year or two- what problems may come up? Is it as simple as moving from state to state (although more expensive) ? - Or would I have somehow changed my status by residing in the Virgin Islands? I would like to know what rights/priviledges I am potentially giving up before making the move (I have read voting for the president/vice president is one of them- any others?). Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Yes. Nothing changes. If you establish residency, you can't vote back home. That's all.
