Help please! I have a three month old baby and will be returning to our apt on the island (northside) at the beginning of March and am worried about potential mold with the baby. Would really love to have the place cleaned very well with the potentially moldy areas bleached - can anyone recommend a good cleaning service or cleaner who could do the job?

Thanks so much!!!

You might try ABC Sales & Service at 340-774-1073. Explain your mold concerns. My cleaning lady is pretty booked up.

I have no idea of their prices so if it's too expensive, post again. Someone may know somebody else. It's been very dry so maybe the mold won't be very bad.

If by any chance your apt is a condo, try your condo office they usually have or know someone that does that.

I tried ABC but had trouble getting him out to take a look at the place - he showed up at the wrong time and current occupants weren't home. The following day they waited but he never showed. Thanks, though - I appreciated the referral.

Does anyone have the name of another cleaning service on STT or the name of a cleaning person? Unfortunately it's not a condo so I can't call a condo association.

Thanks again!!!
Stacey

Stacey, after you get someone to clean house, pick up a dehumidifier.

They sell them at Home Depot.

We use(d) ours regularly in Zaya's room and it took away her cough.

Feel free to borrow ours until you get one. 🙂

Thanks, Onika. We have a dehumidifier and will definately use it when we return! Unfortunately the kids working for us and living in the apt. haven't been using it and I've read so many scary aritcles about infants and mold! It makes me feel better to know that the dehumidifier has helped Zaya. I figured that one good cleaning before we arrive will at least get us back on the right track.
