the cafe is on the corner of queen cross and company and none of our customers have ever had a problem at night,the guys on the corner are drug dealers not robbers and if the bar is closed the dealers do not hang there and well they would'nt be there at all if people did'nt buy their products

i saw joe and asked him his hours he said thurs,fri,sat 9:30 pm till 4am,i said every weekend from now on he said yes

LOL, well not sure what your background is Dixie Chick, but coming from DC, Co. street is no worse than Pennsylvania Ave NW (the street where the white house is on so a good one). I wouldn't worry about Co. Street, like I've said, 6 years of being there after dark and the only thing I've seen/heard of that's really bad on that street was 2 drunk stateside Hovensa guys get into a fight that got out of hand. This was many years ago and was not a random crime. My wife also ocassionally goes to 54 by herself to meet up with friends after dark and it doesn't really make me nervous. But again I guess its all about what you're used to, and there are very few places in STX that make me feel nervous, none the way walking in Ward 8 of SE DC made me feel.
