College grad moving to STJ

I am planning on moving to St. Thomas or St. John on Dec. 23, two days after I graduate from Texas A&M. I am graduating a semester early, so I am taking a semester off to enjoy myself. I will be there Dec. 23- end of May or June. I have no place to live and no job. I have six years of waitressing experience and thought it should be easy to find that type of job.

Can anyone give me suggestions on finding a place to live, or securing a job?

Christmas is a little late- most of the seasonal jobs go to the early birds. But advice is the same: bring enough money to tide you over for a couple of months, stay in a guest house until you find work and a permanent spot. Housing is almost non-existant on St John and very expensive. If you want to work in the food and beverage industry, go get your health card first thing...That'll get you started...
