How long is the commute from the Casino area of St. Croix into Christiansted during normal business commuting hours? How long during off hours (in the evening for dinner) and are there taxis available that will take you back and forth? If so what would the rate on these taxis be?

There's not much traffic on the east end and no traffic lights at all. The curves keep you going slow, the safest "fast" speed is about 45mph. From the casino to c'sted yer looking at about 20 minutes (good) 30 minutes (slow). Of coarse if you get behind a winter resident or tourist that really believes the speed limit is 25mph its going to take alot longer.

IMO it would be too expensive to travel by taxi round trip 5 days a week. You are probably looking at $30 - $40 a day. You would need a car.
