Hello, I am located on STX and am having some computer difficulty. I must of downloaded some malware and now my windows crashed. I tried to reboot it and restore it to factory settings. This also did not work, I then tried the Hard Drive disk test and it failed. I was wondering if there were any computer repair places on the island that did not cost an arm and a leg? Thanks!

I've used Computer Solutions (I think that's the name) in Gallows Bay and they did a good job in a reasonable time. I don't remember what they cost. Give them a call, or better yet, go over and get an estimate.

I reccomend Tony Miller of who owns Island Digital. He fixed our laptop after it crashed several months ago. His phone # (cell) is 340-332-2900. He's a 1 guy operation and is totally reliable, honest, and knows what he's doing. He will come to your home if needed.

Tony at Island Digital has expanded a bit and now has an office above Farchette and Hanley in C'Sted. He knows computers! Tony can usually access your computer from his remotely and find problems. Give him a call.
Alex at Computer Solutions is very knowledgable as well. Neither are considered cheap but..........what to do if you need repair?

I've used PC Paradise for my computer woes with great success. The people are certified and the results are guaranteed. They're located in Golden Rock, in case you haven't already had it fixed. Good luck!

PC Zone has been solid for me over the years as I require fast & affordable services which both PC Paradise & Computer Solutions could not match. They really do fix it within 3 days and customer service is great.! 719-5198.
They also have a branch in St. Thomas at 775 3348.

I feel obligated to post my experience with PC Paradise, since I used this thread as a recommendation when selecting them.
Bad customer service, in a lot of ways. They're only open from 9-5, moday-friday, which is pretty inconvenient for anyone with a day job. But when I arrived 10 minutes before closing, they wouldn't let me in until I called from my cell phone.
The staff is not very knowledgeable, either. When they incorrectly filled my order, they insisted on blaming me, would not give me a refund, and would not return my phone calls.
I've never walked out of that place feeling good about my transactions- once I'm able to conclude my business with them, I'll not be going back.
