hi all
I keep hearing that most people do not have air conditioning. What about those with personal computers? I’m wondering about mine since I’ve never thought computers did well in heat and humidity?
thoughts?
tks

I think many people do have air conditioning, but you can just make do without it much of the time. I'm not sure about heat and humidity hurting computers. If I lived right near the water, I'd be more concerned about salty air getting into the computer and rusting it. That's why when you go to the beach, you should point the engine away from the sea.

The heat and humidity here is not that much different from South Florida. There I had to keep the copy paper in a tupperware container in the fridge to keep it from sticking in the copier! Here, the main problem is electricity. Get a good surge protector and you'll be fine using some common sense like keeping the components out of the window, etc.
