Condo complexes (STT)

Was looking for any recommendations for fun social condo complexes on STT. We love our house here, but it can seem isolated and lonely. We're thinking of buying a condo to have more of a 'Melrose Place' kind of social atmosphere, on the beach with lots of room to ride bikes (which we miss) and meet new friends to hang out with. We're looking for a complex that is mostly residents, not weekly tourist rentals, and that also has a good number of kids for our son to play with. We're most likely looking toward the East End. I've looked at the MLS and researched what's up for sale, but the feedback I'm more looking for here is what condo complexes have the atmosphere/vibe we're looking for: a social atmosphere with a beach and full-time residents who are friendly and social, and a place that has other kids around too.

Thanks for any feedback.

I understand what you're looking for but I don't think you'll find it here. The majority of beachfront complexes are a mix of residents and vacationers and none that I can bring to mind have any sort of clubhouse or social center where residents mix and mingle, none have bicycling areas and none cater to resident children's activities. Best suggestion I can come up with is that you contact local real estate professionals to see if anything comes close. Good luck!

Look at the Anchorage. Lots of kids as it is close to Montessori and next door to the Yacht Club. Plenty to do.

Bike riding isn't very popular on St Thomas - more so Water Island and St Croix. People do ride at Magens and on the Waterfront.

Most residents socialize at the many events offered throughout the island. Always something going on and most events are family friendly, because there's a huge demand for it.

The Yacht Club at the Anchorage is also a place for socializing.

I would suggest also Cowpet Bay East and Cowpet Bay West as their condos offer more than 1 bedroom options (so does Anchorage as EE mentioned), on the water/beach, have beach bar, restaurants, pool, tennis courts, water sports rental activities.

The club house type activities you are looking for can be found next door to both these condo complexes including Anchorage at the St. Thomas Yacht Club. They have lots of kids participating in sailing and family activities. PM me if you would like as I am a licensed VI Realtor.
