I am interested in the construction occupations on St. Thomas. I have done plumbing, tile work, painting, drywall, rough framing, finish carpenter and just about all trades. The only thing I have not done is electrical, I can hang fixtures, but that is about the extent of it. I had that construction workers were sitting at home not employed right now. Is that the case?

I'm not sure about STT, but, here on STX I know personally, many construction workers looking for work and they have connections if anything comes up and have been here for many, many years. The economy is bad everywhere for construction especially. Even more so here!

There is work in St Thomas. May not be plentiful as before but it's there. Soon to increase when they start to renovate the old Grande Bay with Jimmy Buffet's Magaritaville. With all of your abilities you good probably offer handyman services. They always seem to prosper.

If you are capable, competent and hardworking, you will always find work.
There is always opportunity if you do good work.

There are many construction companies listed in the phone book and another option is property management companies to check with for employment.
