Half right. If you're on a date & the oncoming car has a burned out headlight you can either kiss your date or punch him on the arm. If you called out Padiddle & it turns out to be a motorcycle the other person gets a double prize.

Now I know why those girls wouldn't go out with me again.

Lizard, you weren't supposed to punch the girls in the arm, you were supposed to kiss them. The "nice" girls like I was always punched the guys. Or did you kiss them & then they wouldn't go out with you again? :@)

We didn't say Padiddle. We said Popeye, and I truly don't remember who did what to whom, or why!

I think we need an island equivalent of a Snipe for when unsuspecting mainlanders come to visit.

We called 'em padiddles in NJ. You got a kiss for calling one and a punch in the arm if it was a motorycle.

Padiddle would be a good name for our version of a snipe. I'll get it going by saying the night critter sounds I've been hearing (the query of which started this warped thread) are padiddles.

Then if someone tells you they used to play a game with that name you can tell them the game is named after the padiddles because they only have one eye.

Padiddle yes....and what about Slug-Bug. First one to spot a VW beetle yelled Slug-Bug and got to slug the other in the arm. LOL

We just called "buggie red" - or whatever color it was - and kept score. Convertables were worth two points. Bugs that were beat up, patched up, rusty, etc were called "buggie ugly" .

Maybe that's why everybody would start punching one another when i walked down the hall with my girgfriend, She had one eye and wore a patch, red hair with head lice. Hmm "buggie ugly" now I get it.
