Three red cows just wandered through our yard - where the Divi Divi Trail and Coral Reef meet up the hill.

Ear tags and a branded S.

I wish I had more than my cell camera!

Anybody know anything about them?

They brought a white bird with them.

They live in Catherine's Hope in what was McAuliffe's farm. I believe Chris Hanley owns the property now if not the livestock too. Call Farchette & Hanley they'll get him the message.

Those look like Senepol Cattle, and the bird is a Cattle Egret. (I also call them "lawnmower birds" because they walk behind lawnmowers looking for exposed bugs)

They have been in our yard all week. JJ has had a blast videoing them and they have trimmed our grass and fertilized our lawn. Someone just came and took them away. LOL So funny.

Not so funny though when they walk out on a road in the dark and get hit by a car. Cars have gotten totaled, folks gotten hurt and cows killed.

Right, I was in a car driving from Puerto Plata to Santiago and we hit a big cow at 70MPH. The Suburan was totaled but we were OK. Deer are almost as bad. I always try to look out for them. There were 2 in the road last week near Due's in the AM.
