Anyone know where the water comes from that comes out of the machines at Food Town, CUL and other places? My husband was trying to track the pipes at CUL to get an idea, and the door checker kept telling him it was "filtered"....hmmmm...I alway thought it was "bottled".

DanielB is correct -- it is either WAPA or cistern water that goes through filters.

I don't trust those machines. RO filters must be backflushed and serviced, and I don't see that happening. An RO plant rated at .005 or .01 microns that can fill a 5 gal bottle as quickly as those things do wouldn't fit in the space those machines do and wouldn't plug into a wall outlet.
