Anybody know where on the mountain the mud slide happened? Any details?

Tippi, we are in Northstar and had several mudslides on our road. One huge flamboyant tree was taken out in the slide. We drove up Crown Mt earlier today and didn't see any huge slides.

Very messy, messy though!

Saw a video of it online, it is massive. Looks like it came out from under a new house being built. Full of big trees and rocks. The mud on the N side of the road was at least 10-15ft high.

Seriously nasty.

Saw another video and St. Thomas Public Works has a big hauler up there removing stuff. One lane should be open soon.

Oh, by the way, hello everyone! This is my first post here. Just moved to the island a little over a month ago. Been lurking around here since then.

I'll do a proper introduction later 😉

Thanks everyone for the input! I went out earlier today and took some photos! Couldn't believe all the huge rocks on the road. More than I took photos of. Looks like the rain and rocks tore up the asphalt.

where did you see the videos david ?

The videos were on a buddy of mine's Facebook friend's page.

Those pics don't look like the big slide that covered the road, but maybe it's just the angle.

The big slide occurred just above the dumpster.

Here's one I snapped this morning where they got one lane clear. I have no idea how they're going to get both clear:

There's another good photo op of a giant boulder blocking someone's driveway that I'll try to snag tomorrow morning on my way to work.

Take it easy everyone and try to stay dry!
