Saw it for the first time in my city..... 29.95 USD.... how much is it on the islands?

Cruzan Rum makes many different rums. The the 2yr old light rum and 2yr old dark rum are available in 750 ml bottle or 1 liter bottles .All the others, like a spiced rum, a black strap rum, a 151 proof rum, 9-10 different flavored rums, multi year aged single barrel rum and a rum cream are only bottled in the 750 ml size. The least expensive Cruzan Rum is the 2yr old light & dark -about $6 for 750 ml bottle, flavored rums about $8/bottle. The most expensive rum is the Estate Diamond single barrel rum which runs in the mid $20/bottle range.

The cheapest stuff (the flavoreds and the basic light and dark 2-year) runs, what?, $4.99 at Kmart for a 750ml bottle? Something like that.
Iceberg lettuce, OTOH, is $2.99 a head, and a gallon of milk is $7.99.
So, you know, it balances out.

If your main concern is the cost of alcohol, better you stay where you are.

My mom buys Cruzan Mango Rum in the 1/2 gallon bottle in FL. Yes, it's available in the "upper 48" in sizes that aren't available here on STX, because it's bottled up there, and they ship us only the 750ml bottles.

Some wrong info by me (too early in the am I guess) -- Dark & Light Cruzan rums also come in a 1.75ml bottle - cost $10.68. The flavored rums come in 1 liter bottles - price $7.99.
