He's on St. Croix.

About two years ago or so a prominent NY radio personality retired and moved to St. Croix. Last I heard of him was when he sat on a broadcast with a fellow deejay discussing their earlier radio days. I have many friends who were fans of Dave Herman and wonder how he's doing. So, I'm curious to learn if anyone knows of him and how he might be. Should you know him, please pass on that he's fondly remembered.

Thanks,
Gerie

I think I met Dave inadvertently, when my hubby and I were out looking at land in the Concordia area of STX. The realtor knocked on his door and he graciously let us in. His house was beautiful with a one bedroom guest house and pool. He told us he had left NY and lived on STX full time. He had a beautiful original photo of Bruce Springsteen and his sax player that was given to him by the photographer. He also told us stories about his days as a NY DJ. Very nice and gracious man.

Thanks, jewelygirl! It's nice to read a report that he's doing well. I'm not surprised about the picture of Bruce and Clarence. He was really a big fan and played "Bruce Juice" every morning. I imagine he's got lots more photos, memorabilia and an enormous music collection. What a nice opportunity for you to sit and have a conversation with him.

Every time I see this subject line I think it is going to be about the old Cheech and Chong bit:

(Knocking on door) "It's me, Dave!"

(Voice from inside) "Dave's not here, man..."

I guess you had to be there...

Dave is a client of mine.

Didn't know him as a radio personallity but hear he was loved by many.

Super attitude and a wonderful home.

I've emailed him a link to invite him here.

Thanks Sky'stheLimit!

And for all the younger readers of this forum who are saying, "Cheech and who?" "Whaddya mean, 'Dave's not here'?" you can hear what it's all about. For all those who were there, a little memory boost:
