Delivering baby on island

Good day, I’ve heard there is no estate tax due on St. Croix property if the heir is born on the island.

Is that right?

I’m expecting #3 this summer and am wondering if its worth delivering on island, despite potential OB woes, since we plan to build on our land and make it our primary in the next 3 years.

I am grateful for any advice you have also about current status of OB availability
Happy New Year

Why don't you consult with a local lawyer or your tax account?

14 months ago, OB at JFL Hospital was great for our bouncing baby boy.

Had my Daughter at JFL 21 months ago and had a great experience.
Had an emergency C and My OB + the second who joined my case were more than competent.

One thing that is always said about healthcare in the VI - one thing they know how to do well is deliver babies!

So true.
