Beginning on Dec. 20 on Saturdays only until May 20.

Checked out a fare in late February $995 R/T Coach $1155 R/T Business

I seriously doubt if there will be many takers at that price point.

Hooray!
Hopefully the load factor will be good enough to add more flights / extend the service to year-round.

I fly back and forth to that area. That seems to be the going rate beginning this summer.

Not sure I would choose Delta when AA does it for $627 for the exact same dates!

Delta ATL to STT not a bad option, even after adding the STT-STX on Cape or Seab. Price will drop if they can't fill it up.

Stay away from Seaborne...they suck bad these days. Worse than LIAT.

It would help if you were more specific with some details!

Nothing in this world is worse than flying LIAT!

Actually, we have had a couple of pleasant experiences on Seaborne to SJU.
Like seemingly everything in the Caribbean, nothing is consistent.

LIAT - some years ago, on our Flt. coming back from Nevis to STT, we had to leave early to catch the Flt. to St. Kitts which made us wait a couple hours before reboarding and taking us back to Nevis for a couple hrs., then flew us back to St. Kitts then home to STT. We could have spent a whole day in ST. Kitts or Nevis for that matter before the Flt. brought us home instead of wandering around airports going back and forth to same islands twice. What an absolute wacky and weird way to run an airline. Seriously, you can't make this stuff up!

What an absolute wacky and weird way to run an airline. Seriously, you can't make this stuff up!

We used to live on Bequia and LIAT was one of our only options. We had too many bad experiences with LIAT to mention all of them!

There must be something about St. Kitts! We were going to Montserrat years ago and had to get to Antigua from St. Kitts. We boarded in St. Kitts and there was a scheduled stop in Nevis...when it was a dirt runway. Well, just as we were ready to begin the descent in Nevis, the pilot came on and said that we had to go BACK to St Kitts because we had too many people (translated to too much weight) to land in Nevis. Back we went to real brawl on the tarmac and then back off to Nevis, minus a couple of passengers. You're right! You can't make this up.

But, this one gets the grand prize. We were in St. Barts 3 years ago and got there via St. Maarten on LIAT from STX., We had planned to return the same way. On the return, we got to St. Maarten a bit late but our LIAT flight was NOT there! It was late coming from Antigua.
So, we thought that all was good! Wrong again! They denied us boarding at check-in because we were 10 minute late, even though the plane was not there! We were furious! Then, we could not get any flight back to STX or STT for 2 weeks! So, we took a late flight from St. Maarten to Tortola and stayed downtown by the ferry at the Fort Burt Hotel. We then took the ferry to STT in the morning and flew Seaborne to the STX airport. LIAT charged us for the difference in the flight + $125 change fee, per person! Plus, we had the hotel charge in Tortola, the taxi to the hotel in Tortola and the airport on STT, the ferry to STT and the cost of the flight to STX..not to mention 2 extra days of parking at STX. A dream come true!
The entire ordeal ended up costing us and additional $530.

@sunshinefun that seems a bit strong. We all have airline horror stories, a bad flight, an unpleasant employee. By that criteria all airlines "suck". The question is -- what is the alternative? kayak? Learjet? I learnt that it is best to come with limited expectation, things may go wrong, but with a smile you and your luggage will get home, although not necessarily at the same time. And if you are disatisfied, smile some more during the trip but call the HQ of the airline the next day.
Competition is good to keep prices down, and I make a point to alternate between airlines.
