Can anyone tell me what the going rate is, per gallon, for diesel fuel on the water in a marina? I understand it's about $2.50/gallon in Soper's Hole, Tortola and we're wondering if it's any cheaper in St. Thomas. Thanks.

About the same depending on the marina. Which end of town are you looking at?

My good friend in Tortola (Soper's Hole) was asking me about this because he is considering coming over to STT to refuel if it's a lot cheaper next time he comes to the boat in February - I can't imagine that it would be any cheaper, but I told him I'd ask, nonetheless. Heck, I pay more than that for fuel on my lake. Since he's in Soper's Hole, I think the closest marina would be in the Red Hook area, is that right? Or do I need a geography lesson? I'm not looking at the map at the moment! I'm going to meet him next month when I fly into STT and he may just pick me up in the boat in a marina if he decides to come to STT to fuel. Otherwise, I guess I'll be taking the ferry to Tortola.
