For those of you that have Direct TV do you get ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox? (IF so, what market)

We've been researching the differences between Direct TV and Dish Network and the fees for Direct TV are considerably less expensive. All the hardware and antenna come shipped free from Direct TV. The other plus side is that the antenna dish for Direct TV is only about 30 inches compared to the 4 foot antenna for Dish Network.

The question seems to come down to can we get the above channels with Direct TV?

Thanks for your help!

Direct TV in the VI is really Direct TV Latin America. Not the same as the states. Many fewer channels and geared to the Latin American market. Direct TV is almost unheard of in the VI. I have one friend who has it for the NFL package. The networks are from New York.

Dishnetwork is the same as in the states. Hundreds of channels.

DirecTV Latin America is available thru Puerto Rico, or if you don't speak spanish, Trinidad. They have no sales agents/dealers here. But any local sat dealer installer should be able to set their system up. It requires a minimum of a .90meter dish. No Tivo out of Trinidad. I don't know about PR. Anyone choosing this service only needs to get the receiver and LNB. A dish from a local dealer can be used to collect the signal. Programming is aimed at Latin American. Lots of stuff in Spanish. The US networks are there in English. No PBS.
