yesterday, I found no CBS on the local stations fed from PR.
so no CBS football feed
At the same time CBS NYC and SAN FRAN were showing
2 different football games, wi. 2 more to follow.
I thought CBS was part of the local dish feed?

I watched the Manning Brothers game (Den @ NYG) at 4:15 on channel 18, CBS from PR on Dish.

I didn't either watch or record anything on CBS yesterday but maybe it was a temporary glitch? That local CBS (and the NBC) feed does go out from time to time.

We had CBS yesterday for the football game - no problem.

sloop jones, we were all set to go to sharky's to watch the Raven's game which was on CBS. We couldn't find it on dish.
Our neighbor called and said we have it. It's on channel 18. I never knew that channel was there. Sure enough the Raven's were on. WOO HOO. Didn't have to leave the house.
I did notice that we didn't have channel 18 on the other box in the guest room. I guess it's an older receiver box.

Yes, Channel 18 is WSEE is a CBS affiliate from PR.
They were having uplink issues, pixelation of quick movement, but they recently seemed to fix the issue.
HD was looking perfect watching golf a few weekends ago.....football yesterday was OK, not as good as ESPN / national channels.
Hopefully channel 18 will be back to near perfect soon.

there were earlier games on CBS NYC and SF feeds. Those games were not on 18.

Margaritagirl, the tv without 18 is connected to a receiver which is not displaying satellite110.

Sloop,
As a Dish retailer on STJ I would think you have a better understanding of all this.:D

For those wondering about the NYC and San Fran feeds, he is referring to All American Direct which provides networks for an additional charge thru your existing dish receiver.

As for the Dish provided networks,......HD ch 14 NBC, 18 CBS, 20 ABC, 24 FOX are on 119. SD ch 14, 18, 20, 24 are on 110.

Margarita, menu, 6, 1,1 check switch, test......this will determine whether your receivers are seeing both sats. Seems to me your system is legacy and the guest rooms only see 119, while your HD receiver sees both? With a SD 311 receiver only seeing 119 you will not pick up those channels.

Al I do understand.

it seems to me the FCC has it wrong.
they are restricting access to AA Direct
An account can't get AA Direct any longer
unless it is a mobil home or boat.

I have customers who want the PR network feed and the SF/NYC feeds.

They should be allowed to do both.
