The other day I turned on FOX and Jimmy Swaggert showed up. Seems a bunch of channels, FOX News among them, went somewhere. Anybody know where?

Everything is in place here including Fox News on ch 205 where it's always been.

What other channels went somewhere?
Are they back?
Do you have Dish Network or Direct TV?

Saucers! They were great for packing down a path for sleds. Garbage can lids worked well, too.

Fox news 205
fox could be on 4 different channels depending on which city you get them from.
Chicago or LA in HD or NY San Fran SD
I'm in San Antonio at the Dish convention now.
Can you say "HD Free for life"?
Big news when I return!

Sky, please keep us up to date, I'm currently paying $10 for my HD Pak. I had a ridiculous billing issue with them recently that I think we finally got sorted out (they closed my account, opened a new one and proceeded to overbill me for 3 months by $120!). I don't want to make any changes to my account until I'm sure the dust has settled and my credit is applied! At least they got it fixed.

One other thing, recently they've stated that the Dish Remote access application on the web is not offered in the VI and a few of us haven't been able to connect to our boxes any longer. If you have any info on that I'd appreciate it!

Sean

When does this start? Do we have to contact Dish in order to have the HD charges removed from our bill or will they do it automatically?

This is the short version:-)

Existing Customer Accounts Already Subscribing to the $10/mo. “HD & Platinum” Add-on Before June 3, 2010 – Existing customers who were subscribing to the $10/mo. “HD & Platinum” package prior to June 3, 2010, will be automatically grandfathered into “HD Free for Life” without being required to enter into a 24-month “HD Free for Life” commitment OR pay the $99 HD Programming Upgrade Fee. These customers will experience no price change due to their participation in this offer; they will receive “HD Free for Life” for the life of their account and will be charged for the $10/mo. HDPlatinum add-on package.

Existing Customer Accounts NOT Subscribing to the $10.mo. “HD & Platinum” Add-on Package Before June 3, 2010 – Existing customers who were NOT subscribing to the $10/mo. “HD & Platinum” package prior to June 3, 2010 may choose to participate in “HD Free for Life” by logging into their online customer account (or creating an online account if they do not have one yet) and selecting the “HD Free for Life” option, which will be indicated.
After selecting the “HD Free for Life” offer, customers may choose either the 24-month “HD Free for Life” commitment and accept the terms of the agreement within the online form, as well as set up Credit Card AutoPay AND Paperless Billing if they are not set up with them yet –OR– the $99 HD Programming Upgrade Fee and provide a credit card number for this charge (also within the online form).

Channels in the Platinum include the following and requires a $10 add on. We don't get all those channels so it might not be worth having. Your call.
Centric HD 371
Crime & Investigation HD 387
Fashion TV HD 374
HDNet Movies 383
IndiePlex HD 363
LOGO HD 373
MavTV HD 361

Those with dishNetwork already should notice that the signal strength on satellite 119 has more than doubled in the last few days. This will all but eliminate rain fade and the new satellite will open up much more bandwidth for future use.

It's raining on STX east end and to the west and we're still watching TV (Sat 119) (tu)(tu)(tu)
