(Reposting Question for Ann)

how long does it normally take to travel lets say from Frenchmens Reef hotel to the furturest part of the island?

Do apt with balcony and washer and dryer exist? How about with bar?

Are most floors tile or something else?

Well, travel to the furthest part of the island would be going to Fortuna...but I can't see why you would want to do that. Red Hook is about a 20 minute ride.

Mos apartments have a balcony. Very few apartments have a washer and dryer. Water is too scarce and expensive! A bar is going to be hit and miss.

Most floors are tile. If you are working at the Reef, you might want to look into Seacliff Villas as they have a breakfast bar and washer/dryer as well as dish washer. You will get charged at least 5 cents per gallon for your water use.

And if you meant a bar to hang out in, Bolongo Bay is next door, so Iggie's and Mim's are in walking distance.

Hello Ann,

Potential commute might range from 2 to 5 minutes if you lived right in Frenchman's Bay to maybe 35-40 minutes if you were out in Fortuna (west end), maybe 20-25 minutes if you were in some areas of Northside and about the same from some areas of the East End. These numbers are in mild traffic. Traffic gets bottle necked in Havensight with taxis returning/taking people to/from the ships and residents going to or coming from work in the am, around lunch and at 5pm so getting through it can add 10-20 minutes to your commute time depending on if you are heading through town or up raphune hill.

Yes apartments with balconies exist. A few with washer and dryer. Not many with bars; maybe with condos you'd have better chances of that feature. The floors are usually tile or linoleum.
