Depends on where you are going...if you are going to someone's place that has one of the really steep, dirt driveways, you may need it, but, in general, no, you can get around just fine without...

I'd never purchase a car without four wheel drive here. I need it to get up both my driveway and up the driveway to my office when it's been raining. Not to mention Jacob's Ladder! That being said, when the roads are dry I can get pretty much anywhere I need to go without four wheel drive.

How about STT? Would I be limiting myself as to where I could drive if I had a minivan?

Nope, not on STT...I drive a Chevy Malibu on STT and can go anywhere that I need to...well, except to places like Stumpy Bay or Nelteberg...

thanks Marty.......
Side note question: what is at Stumpy Bay and Nelteberg that I may ever want to drive there? (beaches I am guessing?)

Yep, just beaches...but you've still got 41 others that you can drive to with 4X2....

Well, I certainly agree with you there, Wannabe! And a good hike never hurt anyone!
