My wife and I are moving to st. john at the end of the month for the season. We would love to take our 7 year old yellow labrador with us, but are unsure of how hard it will be to find a place to live with him. Also, is st. john dog-friendly? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

st john is *rather* dog-friendly, there are a few beaches you can bring him to, a nice vet, plenty of good dog owners and a few dog-specific 'events' [like wagapalooza!]

however, if youre moving at the end of this month, chances are you are going to have a pretty hard time finding a place to live at all, [some people get very lucky-- right place at the right time] and having a dog will eliminate half of your [limited] choices.

for me, it wouldnt matter-- bringing a family member with me wouldnt even be a question. but if you were already on the fence, and have a good place to leave him in the states, well... i might consider doing just that.

either way, good luck =)
