While diving today at Japanese Garden, I saw what appeared to be a dead sea cucumber. It had a hard top and pink underside.

The only sea cucumbers I've ever seen (outside of a Chinese restaurant) have been soft on top. Like petting a kitten.

My divemaster said it was a Donkey Dung, and it was alive!

I thought he was kidding. He wasn't: http://species-identification.org/species.php?species_group=caribbean_diving_guide&id=377

Diving is always full of surprises! 🙂

Descriptive, yes! But of what? The looks or the taste? 😀

A friend once ordered sea cucumber at a Chinese restaurant.

The waitperson asked if she really knew what she was ordering. My friend said she knew exactly what she was ordering.

When the dish came to the table, my friend gagged and ran to the lavatory!
