I'm arriving tomorrow to take the bar exam Wed and Thursday and plan on meeting gobucs from the vacation forum for drinks at Duffy's on Thursday nite at 6:00. Anyone care to join? 😛 Hopefully, Ashley's will be open when I get in at 3:00 (or so) tomorrow.

STT Resident - can I bring anything from here for you (we don't have krispy kreme where I'm at although they might have them at the airport)?

Have a safe trip! I've actually never had a Krispy Creme! Now if you could pick me up a conch pate from Ashley's...my mouth is watering... See you soon!

C Urchin,
Good luck with the Bar! Let me know how it goes. I remember that you also were practicing in Texas, and I may decide to take it in the future. I would love to get your advice regarding studying as it has been many years since I took the Texas Bar! Again, best of luck.

C Urchin -

I would be interested in your views on the VI bar versus stateside. I have a son sitting for the bar this week in Arkansas who possibly is interested in doing some work through an atty. in Puerto Rico for the islands...however, he appears a little haggard and is getting grayer by the moment just getting through this sitting! The thought of another bar exam could push him over the edge, but at one point in time it was a thought he had...of course, that was before he started the final push for THIS one!

Good luck to you as well - look forward to your report. And yes, I know...no one knows how they did, everyone's worried, they gave all the wrong answers, ack, ack, ack....still, any glimmer of info would be appreciated so much!

C Urchin - It sounds like you're already a lawyer, planning a move in practice to the VI's. I'd love to hear your thoughts on what you've heard about the legal culture in the VI's. I chatted with a lawyer from St. Croix a few years back, and it seemed like light years from what practicing in Massachusetts is like. Just curious!
