Employment Agencies on STT?

Good Morning! This is my first post. I've been here for about a month. My mom has been here three years and my boyfriend thirteen, so I have a built in social circle, thankfully. I didn't come down to party, but rather to get somewhere peaceful to focus on writing.

However, I of course need a job. I'm looking for something administrative (tried my hand at bartending the other day. not for me!) and have registered with Working World, where I was referred by a long time island dweller who has been placed in good positions through them. Anyway, there are some other employment agencies listed in the phone book, CET, Hillside Secretarial, and Hector Staffing. I'm wondering if anyone has heard anything about these agencies? I called to inquire and didn't get the friendliest responses, so I'm a little hesitant to try again.

Any info is highly appreciated.

Thanks!
Ashley

Working World is the only one I'm familiar with Have you checked the Dept. of Labor? Hope you find something soon that's a good fit.

Yes, I have been to the Department of Labor and I'm going again this morning. Woo hoo! For a few weeks none of their job postings really suited me but this week there are some posted that could work.

I am looking for something full-time and administrative. Office Manager/Administrator/Executive Assistant would be ideal. Administrative Assistant or something like it would be acceptable. Wherever I am hired will be very pleased they did so because I'm professional and hard-working...I just have to get to that point!

Thanks everyone. Wow, what a great forum this is.
