Good Day all,
Any advice on the best places/sites to look for jobs? I will have a Master's in Public Adminstration on Dec. '03. I have over 18 years of experience in Mental Health, Family Services, as well as I have been operating a Night Care service for several years. I work now for a City Manager in NC but have a passion for Health Policy and advocating for health care access.

This is an active website and I am sure my anwers are right here. Thank you in advance.

Vivian: Most health care jobs here are "in the trenches" types- nurses, CNAs, lab and radiology techs, etc. The hospital and the health dept are both run by the territorial government. You might check the St Thomas hospital site- www.rlshospital.org. I am fairly sure that the health dept has no website. Also, surprisingly, in the Daily News today, an ad: "Full-time position to assist Project manager and project coordinator in the performance of program activities, coordinate program logistics and administrative support for program staff. Min experience Bachelor's degree in public health, health care mgmt, public administration. One to two years experience in responsible support position. Fax resume to 340-719-1340." (Makes me wonder what the program manger and coordinator do...) I highly recommend that, if you are serious about living/working here, you come for a visit. Go see programs in person, ask for referrals- most jobs are found face-to-face.
