I have 20 yrs. experience in purchasing/procurement field. Mostly related to the computer industry. However, I am aggressive and smart enough to relate my purchasing experiences to any field. Currently, I am a Manager, but looking to find a job in St. Thomas or St. Croix and certainly doesn't have to be in management as I am more than willing to downgrade. Time to relax and avoid all the stress of day to day managing. I have been looking in the Virgin Island Daily News and hot jobs web site from time to time, but do not see anything in this field. Does anyone know of anything or a good place to research? Any suggestions or leads will be very much appreciated.

I work in the hotel/restaurant industry and I know the purchasing department plays a major role in the day-to-day operations of these businesses (food, office supplies, furniture, toiletries, guest supplies, etc. all goes through puchasing). So maybe you could check around with hotels and resorts on the islands and see if anything pops up.

How about purchasing for the new Home Depot??? or management??? not the same field but like you said likely you could adapt to the change in mechandise.
