Hello everyone...As stated in previous posts of mine, I am planning to relocate to STX from stateside, However I am having difficulty finding job listings, does anybody know a good website or source that has employment listings in STX? Also, would you happen to know what company/squad does the primary 911 ambulance response for the island? As i am an EMT and would optimally like to continue working in this field...Thanks in advance

EMS is part of the Health Department. https://www.usviems.com/
Salaries are probably lower than those to which you are accustomed. Also, currently, all new government employees are being forced into the GERS retirement system with high premiums. Very little chance that they will get their money back, as GERS is going broke quickly. http://viconsortium.com/featured/facing-collapse-gers-continues-to-be-ignored-by-mapp-administration/

There is also DISTRICT COURT ORDERS SUBMISSION OF PLAN FOR GOV’T TO PAY GERS

Yeah. You can't get blood out of a turnip.LOL

It's like forcing the hospitals to pay WAPA. The hospitals don't have any money. The government doesn't have any money to give the hospitals to pay for the stuff they can't afford. And the dog keeps chasing it's tail...

also check out indeed. and east ender is 100% correct. working for the local government would subject you to being forced to pay into a retirement system you would likely never see any money from
