Hi All!

Just wanted to introduce myself, just got on island (STT) an am starting to job search. Im a 23 yr old female from San Francisco with a BS in international business managment. I'm staying with friends on STT but would ultimately like to move to STJ. I'm looking for resort jobs (not picky as long as I can make enough to live modestly). I've been on Caneel Bay and the Westin's websites but i feel like those aren't really the best way to find out what jobs are really available. I've been told Caneel is closed until Nov. And i can't get through to the westin's jobline. Any advice/tips/suggestions (ie should i just show up with a resume) Thanks in advance for your help!

Cheers!

Madeline

Yes, you should show up, resume in hand, appropriately dressed. Suit, hose and heels are not necessary, but halter tops and flipflops don't cut it either.

What Linda said. You will also want to network and get to know people on STJ -- spend as much time there as you can.

You should also register with the VI Dept of Labor. Believe it or not, I've heard good things about their services.
