Hello,
My wife and I are moving down in about a month and I was wondering about the job market for the following:
Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning "Hood Systems" (Fire Safety) in Restaurants & Resorts
Automotive Technician
Janitorial Services
I am 39 and have owned my own hood cleaning (Fire Prevention) company for many years here in Florida. I need a change of pace and scenery. My wife owns a small Janitorial Cleaning Company (Specializing in Restaurants). On the side I have been a Master Certified Automotive Mechanic for years as a hobby.
Are any of these needed on the islands? Just wondering is all.....so any feedback would be much appreciated. Which Island could use this more? Just trying to do some homework before I come scouting around.

If you are moving to STX you will do very well cleaning hoods, there is basically one person who can do it on the Island and he is charging an outrages amount.. Restaurant owners are looking for someone who will do a good job at a fair price. At a fair price you will have no problem building a large client list
