Molly - unless something has changed in the last couple months the answer is no. The only opthomologist on St. Thomas is Dr. Biscoe and Dr. Mercardo. There are 3 or 4 optomotrist. St. Croix has 3 or 4 opthomologist and optomotrist. There are only two practices that do both exams and glasses and contacts they are Pearle Vision - which there are two on St. Thomas and two on St. Croix. And there is Sterling Optical which there is one on St. Thomas and once on St. Croix. Dr. Mercardo mentioned before has a private practice but does not do glasses just the exam. Dr. Biscoe used to work at the hospital as well but I believe there is another doctor now at the hospital but am not sure. Most St. John folks come over to St. Thomas to see the eye doctor and stock up on contacts and glasses.
