My wife and 2 young children are considering a move to St. John. My wife and I are looking for some feedback from families that are currently living St. John. Any information would be greatly appreciated. We have been to STX several times over the last 2 years and had our hearts set on moving there, but a business opportunity came up in St. John and don't know anything about the island besides its is much smaller. Thank You!

Gee! It's smaller, indeed.
More expensive depending on many different factors and there's only one private school that goes to 12th grade and one public school that goes thru 8th grade. Then public school kids must ferry back and forth between STT and STJ.

It's a beautiful island.
That being said, island living isn't for everyone.

It really depends on your wants and needs.
Pia who contributes would be able to answer more specific questions.
It can be great or not so hot, depending on different factors.

Any specific questions you might have? Alana touched on a couple of things, and there is also great info to be had by searching and reading the forum. Ask away, I'll see if I can give you my perspective.

I have two children, 5 and 15, both born here. My older son lived in the states for a few years before moving back 'home'. There is another contributor to this site who just moved here a week ago with her family....so she may chime in as well and give you a newbie perspective.
