Anyone been? Comments please? Don't want to take the hubby unless it is worth it. Traveling for him is such a hassle but this is something that could be fun.

Is this something new? There have always been a few small trucks vending in Smith Bay and 2 more permanent vegetable stands on the roadside - is this what you are referring to?
The Farmers market at the Bordeaux location well out on the West End is worth going to IMHO.

No exit, there is a sign on the road across from the fish stand place that has a mocko jumbie and the sign "FARMERS MARKET ON SUNDAY". Also saw a flier in the window at Home Town - 12 to midnight (right I'm going to Smith Bay at midnight) ... just wondering if it was any better than the one in Yacht Haven Grande?

Don't know about the Smith Bay market, but last month I went to the YHG Sunday market and there were perhaps 10 tables there. VERY disappointing. Hardly anything to buy, very little fresh produce. Surely not even worth the vendors' time. One sad little market.

Hopefully it was just the time of year. I'll try again this month or next.

Jules,

I went to the second one YHG had and it was past sad! I got some fresh herbs but nothing I couldn't find at Marina Market. Well, I think I will go scout it out in an hour or two if noone else responds. If it is worth it I will come back and get the hubby.

There's a woman at YHG that sells wonderful bread. It's worth the trip alone, also if the man who sells hydroponic lettuce.

The one in Bordeaux is the last Sunday of every month. We went the last Sunday of Sept. and got some pumpkin soup and cornbread, Cold Sorrel to drink - YUMMMMMYYYYY. Picked up some great cucumbers and a bread fruit too. It was definitely worth the trip !

We went by Sunday around 9 AM and there was nothing happening. Hope it does take off since many of us live over there and would appreciate the easy access.

When we came back that way after 4 PM still nothing....time will tell
