When I arrive in St Thomas which dock am i supposed to go to the Red hook, or Charlotte Amalie?

And will I be able to walk or will I need to take a cab?

Are you going to St. John? You can go from either location, just more frequently from Red Hook. Cost and time, it's six of one and half a dozen of the other. It's just a matter of a longer boat ride or a land ride, plus a shorter boat ride.

Yes I am going to St. John. So to leave out of red hook the ferry is cheaper but i would have to take a cab from the airport?

Em - you will have to take a cab to either ferry departure point - the $$ work out very close - the RH ferry leaves every hour - the town , Charlotte Amalie ferry much less frequently. Actually the cab drivers at the airport have a fairly good grasp of which would be running at the time, but I am sure one of the STJ posters can give a link to the ferry schedule. Both ferries end up at the Cruz Bay dock and you can see STJ from the Red Hook dock.

You'd have to take a cab in either case.
