Hola!

I mistakenly posted a similar topic on the community site!

I am trying to get information on pilates and indoor cycling classes on STX. I called a local gym a few months ago, but they had never even heard of spinning! I also want to believe I read a thread about pilates, but a search yielded no results!

Any info is appreciated!

Are you sure beeston hill doesnt do pilates, I really think they do. They do so much rebilitation therapy and pilates is often used in that. Spinning will be hard to find here that would require alot of expensive equipment (as well as space to store them), I don't think anyone does it here on stx.

Thanks-that wasn't the name of the gym I called, but will check them out.

I knew it might be a long shot with indoor cycling, but had to try :-).

I have belonged to Paradise Gym and now belong to the Beeston hill facility and I have never seen a spinning bike at either.

Since you can ride outside year round doesn't seem like there would be much demand. I have done hundreds of spinning classes and even filled in as an instructor, but since moving to STX full time haven't been on a spinning bike.

Cam (campilates) is a master Peak Pilates Instructor who is in the process of moving to the island and would be the ideal instructor. Beeston Hill offers a few basic mat classes, but if your into the classical pilates or anything other than mat then you will be disapointed. I am a Peak Pilates Instructor who lived on the island for the past year (just moved to Austin) and failed to get things off the ground. I will try to get her your info, I'm sure she would be happy to know people on STX are interested in what all Pilates has to offer!

All the best,
Lindsay
