I am planning on bringing in our 20' container a couple of boxes loaded with extra school supplies that I would like to give to a public school teacher(s) since they unfortunately have to purchase a lot on their own.
There are TONS of colored pencils, markers, paper, graph paper, calculators, spanish/english dictionary, Dickens, James Joyce, Hemingway, Voltaire, Shakespeare and games such as Jenga, UNO.....and on it goes!
So, teachers who would like these please let me know, they will be available after June 10.

Teachers are so important and so under appreciated in salary for everything that they do!

Also, if there is a wish list that we can compile before our container is loaded on June 1, please let me know....we have lots of extra space that we would love to see go to good use!

Let us know
Cheryl and Mike

Probably not many read this board. Maybe just one. I'm sure word will get out though.

Unfortunately, my husband and I are teachers on STX. If you can't find schools and/or teachers on STT that are in need of supplies, let me know, so I can put you in touch with someone. When I saw this post, I was so excited - then, I saw that it said STT. Some students are going to be very blessed. Thank you for what you are doing!

Cheryl,

Good day! My wife Danielle just showed me your post about you moving to the island and offering some extra art supplie you have. That is excellent and very generous of you. We moved here in January and within two weeks I took a wonderful position as the Art Teacher for E.B.O. elementary school. I love my job and work with what supplies I have, but I am lacking in a few areas. I have no colored pencils or markers which I see you mentioned. (thankfully I have crayons and tempura paint) I have construction paper but am in dire need of any manilla, oak tag, or plain paper. I work at one of the larger public elementary schools with over 450 students which I get to see everyone once a week. Well thankyou for this opportunity and please just private message Danielle for my contact info. The best of luck with the move and I look forward to speaking with you.
