Not nice Jameson! 🙂 it's our first week in and no major problems.

Speedy: your SO RIGHT! We got some water "resistant" sunblock instead of water "proof" on accident and spent 4 hrs snorkling in cane bay. Let's just say we have been off the beach for a couple days and my a** is BURNT lol! All sunscreen is NOT created equal I guess!

We did get our car towed from Christiansted but a cab driver took us to it and stayed with us until the ranger arrived to give us a ticket lol. It was at Pelles and we couldn't get in touch with him for a couple hours. Total ordeal 4 hrs but it all worked out.

We were right in the fact that the island life suits us. We don't mind waiting at OfficeMax for 2 hrs to print something..... Funny thing is that I am the supervisor at the Impress department at OfficeMax in AZ. They begged me to come be their supervisor lol, I guess the new one doesnt know anything and is off island for training.

We have run into a few downers and people questioning us about why we want to move but overall people have been awesome.

Ps. The lightening over STT and Buck last night was amazing for. Our view!

I'm glad you're enjoying your stay. I have a home in the states but I like living here better. Once you find your niche and you develope relationships and friendships, the bond is stronger. The island is not perfect (what place is???) and we all like to think we work to make it a better place but in reality, as long as you're not in places you shouldn't be (like any city in the states), you will be relatively fine. The paradise has its own hassles 🙂

Hello every one. I have been reading the board for some 3 months now preparing for what we anticipate will be a long term move to STX. A 1000+ of my questions have been answered. Hope to conduct a PMV soon and we are nearly as excited as AandA! For my 1 (for now) question I thought I would just piggy back this thread.

We are looking at a property on Salt River Bay. Discussions about wind directions and the breeze have me thinking about this location. Is there anyone on the board that live in the Salt River area? If so, I would be glad to engage in a private conversation to add some direction to our decision making process. Thanks in advance!

Great board, great people with a lot of great insight. Best of luck to AandA and their process and allowing the piggyback!
