Can anyone tell me why I haven't seen any house on STT with a garage?

On STX we have mostly carports. My guess is because of the lack of cold weather. There is really no need for an enclosed area to store a car.

I feel fortunate to have found a house with a double garage. I come across very few properties with garages while showing/selling real estate. Even some of the million dollar villas don't have garages, although others have garages for many cars. I do show houses now and then where there was once a garage but it was later enclosed as living space. With the high cost per square foot for construction, garages become a luxury for most.

Actually, we plan on building one.....oh, how nice to have a place to work on a car, do a little Stained Glass, have organized tools, work on a fun project! What a luxury for sure and I can't wait!
