What are the current gas prices on STX? I just paid $2.97 for regular. Some stations are over $3.04, in Ariz. Outrageous!!!

STX averaging $2.49, sometimes $2.44 if you are lucky. Seems to be consistent over the east and west ends, with a couple of places offering the lower price.

Are prices steady on STX since there is a refinery on the island?

$3.56 for reg. on Martha's Vineyard, (an island off the coast of) MA, plus my propane gas bill for heat this past (sort of mild) winter topped $2700, and that was to keep my house so cold that you don't want to hear more! And our electric went up 28%. Believe it or not, there are some of us out there that would save $$ living on STX. Not that that would be the only reason to move.....

...it is still tied to the cost per barrel of oil. The HOVENSA refinery gets its oil mainly from Venezuela. HOVENSA is a partnership between HESS Oil (Amerada Hess) and PDVSA, the Venezuelan national oil company.

I guess we benefit a little on STX, because gasoline prices on STT are a bit higher. STT gets its gasoline from Puerto Rico.
