Hi,

I need some information regarding the medical system in the islands. I was sick with ulcerative colitis some years ago. After a few surgeries I am generally okay now, but I need to live somewhere that has access to a reliable GI department from time to time. Does anyone have any information or experience with this?

Thank you

There are two Board certified gastroenterologists on St. Thomas - Lawrence Goldman and Brian Cheetham. Both have private practices and hospital privileges. Both St. Thomas and St. Croix have hospitals.

Highly recommend Dr L. Goldman. He is the in-hospital doc.
