hi-
I'm looking to come down to the virgin islands around the end of may or early june for a pre move visit. I want to spend some time on both St. Thomas and St. Croix, however I would rather stay with a local than some touristy hotel. I hope to get as much a feel for life in the islands as I can in a limited time. Does anyone rent out rooms in their houses or apartments? This would help a lot, experientally.

On St. Thomas, try Villa Fairview or Crystal Palace. Ronnie, the proprietor, is very kind and knowledgeable.
