Hi Everyone,
We are doing all of our shipping with Tropical of course, but thinking it might be a safer idea to USPS all of our glassware/china to island. Just wanted to hear your thoughts. I have heard that it would depend on whose packing our containers in Florida regarding any breakage that might occur while at sea. Either way, the boxes will be sealed and not previously opened since they are new. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Christine

Sending anything made out of glass via the mail, especially to the VI, is a very bad idea. The boxes get very beat up when they transit through the mail processing center in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Stick with Tropical shipping. They defeintiely take better care of your goods. I had some glass sent via UPS to VI Cargo in Florida (VI Cargo and Tropical are now the same company) and VI Cargo delivered them to me in one piece!

We buy flatware, plates, glasses etc from Crate and Barrel and ship directly here - never had a broken dish yet 🙂
