Is anyone else experiencing an extended outage of BBVI on the East End of STX? Ours has been out for a while now. I call their number and there is no one that answers, and I can't find a number to actually report an outage. I guess we have to wait until Monday if it doesn't come back, which is grrr....we have work to do.

Yes I rebooted multiple times, as well as directly connecting the internet CAT5 cable to my laptop to ensure that it was not our personal wifi router either.

It did come back on finally late last night! So we're all good. It's just kinda rare for them to have an outage that lasts that long.

When the power went out in the middle of the night last week, I found that all the settings in my router had magically reset to factory default. I had to go in and reenter the IP address, subnet, DNS, and all my security camera IP addresses. It took about 15 minutes, but I'd never had that happen before.

Backup your router configuration file. Takes just seconds to either back up or restore.

Connect both your BBVI Power inserter and router to a UPS. With the way WAPA fluctuates it will give you a much more stable internet connection. After I added one to my network had very few problems with stability.

Thanks Jim Dandy, already done this years ago. It's pretty much a "must do" with WAPA...

BBVI goes down very, very rarely for us. That's why Saturday was so unusual.
