Good point EE!
I was stunned that deJongh fell just TWO VOTES short of winning the election on November 7.
As a first-year resident, this truly underscored the fact that EVERY SINGLE vote counts around here.

Yes, I would be very disturbed if complaceny ruled and John didn't get the vote.
I think if that happened I would simply raise my arms in disgust, chagrin and all else.
No question that the Organic Act really should be changed. To be forced into a run-off by dint of lack of two votes is ludicrous to say the least. But, hey, government workers (and school children who really NEED their education) get another day off... Yikes.
